The tradition of hospitality at Ballynahinch Castle has long and strong foundations. The manor castle dates from the 18th century, upgraded in recent times to meet the needs of today’s informal but discerning clientele. The many beautiful rooms, including the luxury Riverside wing are all tastefully and individually furnished. Many have special features such as 4 poster beds, walk through wardrobes and all enjoy excellent views of the river, mountain or both.
In casual country elegance, a superb restaurant, fed by fresh home produce and locally caught fish is complimented by an attractive old world bar and open log fires. With 450 acres of exceptionally beautiful wooded grounds and walks, fishing rights on our own salmon river and lakes, 13,000 acres of prime woodcock shoot, tennis and cycling, the castle offers all the attractions of a large private estate. A championship golf course, sea fishing and horse riding are all within easy reach.

Great care is taken when sourcing our ingredients. Xin always pursues the organic option where possible, shunning any farmed fish, and buying only from the most reputable butcher who can confidently demonstrate the source of their cuts.

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel is an idyllic venue setting for your wedding situated on a 450 acre estate the hotel and its historic building offers a truly magical location to your wedding day.
Wedding receptions for up to 150 guests or a simple civil ceremony can be arranged by our dedicated wedding co-ordinator, Martina Kearney.
Weekend Weddings
A weekend wedding requires the hotel’s forty bedrooms to be taken exclusively by the wedding party for a minimum of two nights. For the wedding reception a minimum of 100 guests and a maximum of 150 guests can be accommodated in our restaurant. The weekend takes on the feel of a private house party as it is only the bride & groom and their invited guests who are in Ballynahinch Castle Hotel for the weekend.
